Tomorrow, our precious Liliana Grace has been wooing us for a whopping 9 months...yes, three quarters of a year! I can't help but adore the silly girl, even though she is pushing her limits already. ;) What is she up to now?
- Exploring the world with her new found mobility: crawling on hands and knees and pulling herself up to kneeling and standing positions (she is surprisingly careful and controlled...thankfully not many bumps and bruises to speak of yet!)
- A new favorite: She pulls herself into standing on Mom and Dad and then lets go....she gets so tickled with herself that she can stand (for about a second or two before she goes boom)! It's really cute to see her so excited.
- Making big messes, pulling everything out of her baskets and off her shelves ;)
- Enjoys "dancing" around the room with Mom and Dad, cheek to cheek (one of Mom's favorite snuggles)
- Getting upset when we leave the room...follows us around and pulls on our pant legs much of the time (or Jeff's leg hairs - ouch!))
- Making lots of fun sounds with her mouth, and loves games like peek-a-boo
- Getting her first tooth...I can finally feel the little ridges and see a tiny white spot peeking through her gums on the bottom
- She clearly knows her name
- Learning the word "no" and certainly testing her limits (ask me about our adventures in teaching her not to bite during feedings) :(
- Feeding herself some simple finger foods
Lily has her check-up with the pediatrician tomorrow, and Jeff and I always each make a random guess/bet what her weight will be. At 6 months she was a mere 14 pounds, and Jeff's guess was closer than mine. Hmmm....wonder what she will weigh this time, and who will be RIGHT? ;)
